Mshatka - kaya

There are a few main climbing areas that give you the possibility to make climbs on 400 m-high walls.

The Crags of Laspi Bay.
Not very often you can start your ascents just from the sea level. But some crags of this area (Aya Promontary and Kush-Kaya) start close to the sea surf. The foot of Ilyas-Kaya you can reach by the road.

Forossko-Melasskaya Stena (Foros-Melas Wall)
This rock region is the most popular among long routes areas. It begins from the Baydarskie Vorota pass and lies 15 km to the east till the Shaytan-Merdven (The Chert's Stairs) pass. The tops of the crags are stay on 600-720 m, the walls has the height of 400-600 m. The climbing routes includes all the difficulties rating categories. There are many popular routes of 5 - 6 rated.

Kastropol group
The crags of this area (Marcheka, Kastropolskaya Wall etc.) are very often visited by experienced climbers because of high difficulties of its 400-600 m height walls.

Mt.Ai-Petri
You can see this high (1200 m above the sea) and beautiful mountain right from Yalta. It is very famous because of its long routes of all the difficulties. You can use the funiculer for descent.

Mt. Paragelmen
This separate mountain stay 500 m up from the road from Alushta toward Yalta includes all the possibilities for medium range of climbers.

Chatyr-Dag and Demergi massive
Two these massive are elevated upon the Angarskiy Pass on the road from Simferopol toward to Alushta.

Mt.Sokol (The Falcon)
Beautiful mountain elevated upon the Noviy Svet, the village of world famous sparkling wine.
