This message from Kathmandu Alexander Severnuk received from Linda at 20:32 December 28th.
Dear Alex,
The helicopter is confirmed to go with Simone of Camp 1 and the end of the avalanche after 12 hours at 9 o'clock in the morning Nepal time. Simone has been disabled in the hospital and it is very slow getting the helicopter. A small helicorter will go fir st to see if anyone is at Camp One, if they are unable to land or have problems, the large Russian helicopter will be available by 12 noon in Pokhara Nepal time to assist. This is the best I can do.
I pray they are at Camp 1. Simone says the end of the avalanche was 50 metres from Camp 1 and it is possible they might have crawled to the tent. It has been now four days, time is very hard.
I will be flying to Kathmandu. Call to Nima or fax to him at the numbers I sent to you, in 24 hours and he will have the news of the rescue.
I pray for good news, Alex.
Linda
